AFMMAA

AFMMAA is an association of retired and active personnel from the
AFRL Materials and Manufacturing Directorate. Members include Air Force civilian, military, contractors and other friends
  • Individual membership is open to persons who have served or are currently serving in either a military, civilian or contractor capacity at AFRL/RX, or are "friends" of the organization and are interested in promoting the purposes of the association
 
AFMMAA was formed in 2000, with the first official business taking place at an organizational meeting in June 200. The organization is formally registered as a non-profit organization in the State of Ohio and out activities are managed by an elected executive board.
  • AFMMAA has a mix of chartered members, lifetime members and annually registered members

 

  • There is no paid staff. Our income comes from membership dues and donations, and is used primarily to fund scholarships for qualified students undertaking post-high school higher education

We are a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization as defined by the IRS.

We support AFRL/RX (formerly AFRL/ML)

with the following goals:

  • To foster recognition of the importance of the Materials and Manufacturing Technology organizations' contributions to the advancement of materials and processing research and development and manufacturing technology advancements supporting the mission of the Air Force
     
  • To promote the activities of persons currently or formerly assigned to AFRL/RX

  • To provide a structure for the exchange of information related to AFRL/RX, its past and present personnel, its past accomplishments, its current activities and future needs

  • To support the current AFRL/RX organization, undertaking special projects and activities.
     

  • To provide a vehicle to promote interaction among AFRL/RX and Association members.
     

  • To maintain connections with past and present personnel
     

  • To inform alumni on activities of persons currently or formerly assigned to AFRL/RX.
     

  • To provide merit-based scholarships to children and grandchildren of current AFRL/RX civilian and military employees
