Frank Harsacky
June 9, 1921 - March 16, 2017

Frank Joseph Sr, 95, of Villa Hills, KY, formerly a long time resident of Lebanon, Ohio, died on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Born on June 9, 1921 to John and Helen (nee: Valensky) Harsacky in Springdale PA.

Frank received a BS Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois in 1949. From 1949 to 1945 he worked as an Assistant Chemical Engineer at Atlantic Refining Co.  He then spent 5 years at National Cash Register in Dayton, Ohio.  In 1959 he moved to AFML at Wright-Patterson AFB, Oh.  His first job was as a Materials Engineer in the Fluid and Lubricant Materials Branch, Nonmetallic Materials Division. From there he was promoted to Acting Chief, Chemical Processing Branch, Manufacturing Technology Division.  His career eventually led to Technical Area Manager for Non-Metal Fabrication Branch of the Manufacturing Technology Division of AFML.

Frank was formerly a member of St. Frances de Sales Church in Lebanon where he served as a Lector for 22 years, was a Eucharistic Lay Minister and a member of Ultrea, CRHP and Cincinnati Cursillo. Frank was a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and also served on the board. He recently was attending the Chapel at Madonna Manor. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Elmer Erdig, one son, John Robert Harsacky, and two brothers. He is survived by two sons, Frank J. Harsacky Jr. (Nenna) of Zepata, TX, Thomas P. Harsacky (Pamela) of Lebanon, five daughters, Ann Newman of Louisville, CO, Catherine Schramm (Tom) of Union, KY, Mary E. Harsacky (Dennis McCartney) of Beavercreek, OH, Marilyn Grua (Dean) of Hebron, KY and Carol Harsacky of Dayton, OH, 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren,
