Carl A. Lombard
June, 1937 – September 23, 2018

Carl Anthony Lombard, aged 81, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away September 23, 2018, at Heartland of Beavercreek.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosemary, and four children: Carl Michael (Martha), Susan, Karen, and Thomas. He is also survived by his brother Robert and three granddaughters: Bridget, Olivia, and Audrey.

Carl was born in Youngstown, Ohio, in June, 1937, to Carmen and Mary (Napolitan) Lombard.

He graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in engineering and then went on to serve in the Army, being based in Germany.  Upon leaving the service in 1962, he came to work at Wright-Patterson AFB as a civil servant. He was a Metallurgist in the Metals and Ceramics Division of the Air Force Materials Laboratory, and later a Materials Engineer in the Aeronautical Systems Support Branch of the Materials Support Division of AFRL  He also worked in the Aeronautical Systems Division.  During this time, he also earned an MBA degree from the University of Dayton in the early 1970’s.

After retirement from civil service, he worked for the Universal Technology Corporation and Renaissance Services.

In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, painting, and going to flea markets. Most of all, though, he loved spending time with his three granddaughters.
