Darlene Kay March, also known as Kay, passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 84, in Kettering, Ohio. She was born on February 23, 1939, in Sparta, Wisconsin, to her late parents, Edward Eugene Grimes and Florence Catherine (Hedding) Grimes. Kay was the beloved sister of her late brothers, Rodney Eugene Grimes, Gerhardt Lee Grimes, and Bruce Edward Grimes. She was married to her late husband Edward Martin March for many years.

Throughout her life, Kay had a fulfilling and successful career. She dedicated her professional life to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she worked from 1957 until her retirement. Her contributions and commitment to her work were highly regarded, making her career at the base both remarkable and impactful. In addition to her work at the Air Force Base, Kay also ventured into entrepreneurship. She successfully built a tanning salon and owned and managed several rental properties.

Kay leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her daughter, Penny LaClair-Toten, and son-in-law, Ron, as well as her son, Michael March, and daughter-in-law, Kelly. She was a proud grandmother to her grandson, Phil LaClair, and great-grandsons, Braden and Brody LaClair.
